I am Joanne.
I started as a child saving up for my first camera when I was 10 years old. It was just a cheap plastic tool, but got me started looking through the lens observing my surroundings.
My fascination to record memories through pictures continued while I was raising my 2 children, and I took a class in B&W photography at the Community College level in 1995. In class I used a 35mm Canon AE-1 Program and have stuck with the Canon brand ever since. (It’s just a personal preference.) I never stopped carrying and have always had a camera in hand, anywhere I go especially out in the wilderness.
As with many photographers, my goal is to capture light expressed in, on and around the objects of nature. Finding and shooting (sometimes drive by), spontaneously because you never know when your subject will appear. Always feeling that the mechanical device can not quite capture the image my mind's eye sees.
This is some of my 22 years of accumulated photography.
